Siebtechnik and Tema merge brands as Siebtechnik Tema

Germany: The Siebtechnik and Tema brands have merged as Siebtechnik Tema from the start of 2019. The aim of the merger is to create a common brand and to improve the subsidiaries sales and service structure with production sites and representative offices in Germany, the Netherlands, the US, the UK, France, Spain, China and Australia. Siebtechnik Tema manufactures equipment for processing mineral bulk solids including producing equipment for the recycling sector. It also makes solid-liquid separation equipment for the chemical and food industries.
Fletcher Building orders Hotdisk Combustion device from FLSmidth

New Zealand: Fletcher Building has ordered a Hotdisk Combustion device from Denmark’s FLSmidth for installation at its Golden Bay Cement plant in Portland. Once the Hotdisk is operational the plant’s kiln will consume up to 3.1 million shredded tyres per year. Carsten Damslund Jensen, Global Product Line Manager at FLSmidth, said that the company is forecasting the sale of 10 Hotdisk units in 2019. Demand around the world, and especially in China, is driving the growth.
Geocycle Spain Albox plant produces 53,000t of alternative fuels in 2018

Spain: Geocycle Spain’s Albox plant’s production of alternative fuels rose by 20% year-on-year to 53,000t of in 2018 from 49,000t in 2017. The company said it had invested Euro0.86m towards innovation in the business in 2018, including a new waste treatment line, according to the Ideal newspaper.
Metso signs service agreement for waste recycling equipment with Core Industrial Solutions in the UK

UK: Sweden’s Metso has signed a service partner agreement for its M&J waste recycling equipment with Core Industrial Solutions. The deal will allow Metso to improve the availability of its services to the waste recycling industry. It has over 100 waste recycling machines in the UK.
"Complemented by Core Industrial Solutions' expertise and commitment, our services will enable maximised plant and operational efficiency with continuous maintenance," said Jens Peter Martensen, General Sales Manager, Metso Waste Recycling at Metso. Metso has also strengthened its overall setup and customer service in the UK and Ireland, by increasing sales personnel amongst other measures, to respond to growing customer needs.
Jidong Cement Fengxiang holds public consultation on disposal of hazardous waste

China: Jidong Cement Fengxiang plant in Tianjiazhuang district in Shaanxi is holding a public consultation before it disposes of 0.1Mt of hazardous waste. The cement company plans to process the waste in its 4500t/day kiln. It says that it can meet environmental regulations during the operation
